There is ATV riding in the area, hiking, fishing, etc.
WebThere is ample room between most sites. There are a few trees but shade is sporadic. There are only two negatives about this campground. There is no on-site dump station and the park is located right on highway 89 so road noise is constant, all day and night. We camped at Granite Flat in a Motorhome. WebGranite Flat Campground lies on the banks of Truckee River. Some campsites even overlook it, but all are walking distance. If you rock a “tent-only" badge, there are some campsites for you adjacent to highway 89. When you're done SUPing Lake Tahoe, take a tube down the river or enjoy a walk or bike on the paved trail that leads into Squaw Valley.
