Putting a petcock in those two pipe threaded bolts on the bottom of the block will not do any good, they quickly get plugged with rust in the bottom of the block (I tried that and it failed), wish it had worked, but it didn't.

The 239s generally have freeze plugs in the ends of the cylinder heads, which might be why the kits don't list the 239 application (those plugs not included, in other words).
